This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones galx.ai uses, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed in your browser by a website. We also use related technologies such aslocalStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which this policy collectively refers to as “cookies”.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__session | Authentication session for signed-in users. | Firebase / us | Session |
galx_remix_seed_prompt | Carries the prompt from the community gallery into the forge when you click “Remix”. | Us | Session |
galx_theme | Stores your light/dark preference. | Us | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_* | Anonymous analytics (page views, referrer, device class). | Google Analytics 4 | Up to 2 years |
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Authentication and security cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to work. They do not require consent in most jurisdictions.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 in “privacy-friendly” mode (IP anonymized, no advertising features). You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or a content blocker.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use to run galx.ai (Firebase, OpenRouter, Stripe). Their use is governed by the respective third party’s privacy policy.
6. Your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break login.
- Use a content blocker such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger to prevent analytics scripts from loading.
- For European Economic Area users, the cookie banner presents a granular accept / reject choice for non-essential categories.
7. Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) signals as opt-outs for non-essential cookies where technically feasible.
8. Changes
We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
